Sure when you travel it’s usually the time to relax, and
enjoy your time away from your responsibilities at home, but you should not
forget the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle while on vacation.
Here are a few pointers that will help lessen the chance of coming home with
extra baggage around your waistline.
-Upon arriving to your destination, remain
physically active by walking to most if not all attractions possible.
- Instead of stopping for fast food, pack a cooler
with healthy sandwiches, healthy snacks, and lots of bottled water.
- Limit yourself from eating meals that are high
in calories. If you have a craving for a meal that comes in a large sized
portion; split it with someone.
-Most importantly you should eat throughout the
day, and avoid skipping meals; this will make you less hungry and less likely
to over-eat.
These tips are brought to you in part by The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
